Hey there folks. This week’s art got here a little late on account of everything being automated up until this point. I done goofed!
But that’s okay. I’m bringing back one of our favorite artists to show you his latest creation. You remember Joman Mercado, right? Well he’s given us a cool take on Icarus that you’ll love!
Let’s start off with the pose options he gave us.
As you can see, this time we had our winged elf on full display, in all his glory. We’ve kind of gone back and forth with that, but we’re back to showing him with wings for this one.
We opted to go with sketch one. That pose was one of my favorites, and Joman really pulled it off throughout the stages as well.
One thing we needed to do was clean up the hair a bit. It was a little too voluminous in the first sketch, so we made that little tweak in round two.
After that, Joman did an awesome lineart version of the character. I love the level of details he created this character with!

We were so happy to work with Joman again. I’m hopeful that we have more opportunities like this in the future, and I hope you enjoyed this look at Icarus as much as we did!
