Welcome travelers. Today, we’re going to be looking at an historic gnomish city from one of our smaller continents, Brittanea. The gnomes there are known to live in the forest and the mountains along the northern side of the continent, tucked away to safety, although they’re not the helpless things that the larger races might think of them. They’re tough, they’ve got magic, and they’re equipped with gnomish ingenuity. And some of them ride boars, hence the sigil.
Felheim is one of the older cities in the world. As such, it wouldn’t be unheard of to have some version of their sigils set about in their stone buildings or deep beneath the earth be cracked or worn. Though Brittanea is said to be haunted, the area around the forest that the gnomes call home is not often of great danger to them, and they continue to expand with every passing year. The inner circle is sure to show some age, but that’s why talented citizens slap a fresh coat of paint in place.
The gnomes of Felheim are relatively self-sufficient, but even those who can make life work for themselves are not so quick to throw away a chance at some finer luxuries. While Felheim is relatively landlocked, they have a pretty straight shot to the eastern sea, where they would have a sort of remote arm of the city to serve as a pier and a travel point for which to establish trade routes.
The aforementioned trade routes from that they utilize is also a bit of a safe harbor, their main city would be protected and hidden enough to allow the gnomes a bit more risk. They’d likely emblazon crates and chests with the boar imagery, in an effort to try and get word across that they were open for business!
