Sigil Art – Ceros

Welcome travelers.  We’re back looking at one of the cities of Tellest, and to their sigil.

While we’ve already seen another rhinotaur city in Saveon, they’re not always alike.  Theria is like a mecca for the race, whereas Ceros is…well, we’ve called it “slummier” in the past.  In both cases, they’re known for their strengths, though perhaps in Ceros things are a little more disorganized.  While generally speaking the rhinotaurs of Tellest don’t actively think about crime, you could say that things are a bit more unethical there.  In fact, thus far, the only rhinotaur thief that we know of comes from Ceros.

While the city of Ceros in its current form hasn’t really been around all that long, there have certainly been people who have lived in the area a long while, and they’ve made homes of the area.  But when you start calling yourself a city, and you need things that unify you to the world, it get’s a little harder to keep things in check.  Case in point: having a sigil.  Again, since Ceros is a bit slummy, there are certain things that are not at the top of the list, and that’s likely to be infrastructure.  Any sigils that were once painted have likely fallen into disrepair, and with as heavy-footed as the rhinotaurs are, you can be sure that it would need a lot of upkeep otherwise.

While Ceros wouldn’t fly their banners on ships, they would bring their standard into battle.  Even though they would probably fail to the greater tactics of the other Rhinotaur city in the area, they could more than hold their own against most of the forces in the area.  Just seeing this banner in the sand of Saveon might make someone think about turning around and heading right back to where they came from.

That’s not to say that all the rhinotaurs of Ceros would be savages and brutes.  At Tellest, we love to see the exceptional people that stand out, and there are likely some who excel at things like the arts, even in a harsh place like Ceros.  Although, they might be a bit more clandestine about using their talents than most.

As always, we leave you with one final picture: the phone background.  I hope you enjoy it!

That’s going to be it for now, but we’ll have another sigil to show off before you know it!  See you next week!
