This is the first blog that I think I’m writing straight on the website. It’s a little different, but I’ll get used to it.
We’re introducing a new feature today on Tellest.com – Fact Fridays. Our literary universe is absolutely massive. There are 13 continents on Tellest, and 69 countries (that I know of – I reserve the right to retcon whenever it’s convenient and makes for a good story). The first book in the Child of the Stars Trilogy takes place in the year 980. That’s a whole hell of a lot of world background that’s wide open.
Fact Friday is going to be a way for me to bring more of the world to our readership. Every week, we’re going to post at least one Tellest encyclopedia entry. It might be about a specific race, or a specific person. It might be about a continent, a country or even a city. It could be a short entry about the wildlife on Tellest, like lumibugs or pearlfish. It could be an even shorter entry, about the gods of Tellest. Whatever the case, you can be sure we’ve got plenty of things lined up for many, many weeks to come.
On the storyline front, I’m happy to announce that the Adelia story is about 98% done, before editing. I’m also plugging away at the Bolt story, at a pace of roughly a page a day. I have never been this excited about writing, but I’m also very happy to share these smaller stories going forward.
It’ll be a nice short blog today so that I can focus on finishing up those tales of Tellest and get the encyclopedia entry posted. In the meantime, thanks for visiting, as always!
