Greetings travelers, and welcome to another preview of one of our artifacts from the world of Tellest. We once again teamed up with Steven Bellshaw on this piece, which shows a nifty potion, which we are severely missing by way of art. In today’s case, we’re looking at a vial of fire giant blood, which could convey anything from strength to health (maybe even at a cost). As you might remember from our earlier looks at Steven’s work with us, even his sketches look absolutely fabulous.
With a little splash of extra light and details, the fire giant potion here takes on even more life. The waxy seal looks like sulfur, and the ornate bottom of the potion just pops.
Again, it’s like every step of the way, you can never really tell when Steven is ready to wrap things up. Each and every one of his iterations has a lot of style and soul, and yet he just keeps cranking the dial, making things look even better. There are some additional lightning details here, and of course seeing it zoomed in, you can see the details a bit better.
But it’s here, against our background, that you see just how much the potion pops. You can be certain that in the future, we’ll be using Steven for a bunch of other potion types. If this is what he could do with just a vial of fire giant blood, imagine what he could do with tons of other types of potions you might find in a fantasy setting?
We’ll be back with more from Steven soon, as there are still plenty of artifacts to explore!
