Sorry folks, falling a bit behind in a few things! This should have been posted last Wednesday, but better late than never, I suppose!
We’re back today to look at one of the locations that TowerSphere has spread to, and that brings us to Viscosa, the capital of Raleigh. The city itself has become pretty jam-packed, over the years becoming a booming metropolis on the eastern banks of the Spirit River. They do not have any space for an arena within the city proper, so they’ve put together something a bit different on the western banks of the river.
Wern Szuen Lee was our artist for this piece, and he started us off with some beautiful hills and grasslands, and you can see the towering cliffs of Viscosa in the distance. There’s an inn and tavern called the Cutlass, but we had to adjust things, as it’s supposed to be presented as a pirate ship, and it’s on the opposite shore of the river. The Cutlass is actually said to be the ship of an extraordinary seafarer, but there have been rumors that this ship is a poor facsimile used to bring people in to dine and rest.
We see a vision of the ship in the distance in this second iteration of the artwork. In addition, we of course see the towers from TowerSphere on the field for the first time. Viscosa is currently flying green flags atop these summoned constructions. There’s a tiny touch of polish to the piece as well, but you’ll see more on that very soon.
Wern brightened things up, and added more detail to just about everything in this artwork as we made our way toward seeing some of the champions of the Viscosan team, the Battlecats. You can see a vibrant appearance for the towers and the grass, though we’ve left some room for the characters.
And here you have the first three members of Team Viscosa representing the city here on their home turf. Nestor Ulis takes center stage, having earned the respect of the citizens thanks to the part he played in the war. He’s also incredibly talented, and has shown that talent within the sport, and in other battle-centered events in their arena. To his left, he’s got his sister Evelyn, who is uniquely talented in that she can make certain potions and even poisons that can affect the battlefield while leaving her unscathed. Then, to Nestor’s right, we have Roderick, they mysterious warrior with a powerful weapon that can help him cut back on the range between he and his foes.
That is going to do it for us today, but we’ll be back with more TowerSphere content very soon. Keep an eye out!
