Greetings travelers, and welcome to our newest concept art in collaboration with the talented Steven Bellshaw. Today we’re looking at a weapon that could be used to trap a foe, in more ways than one.
It’s typical to run into a bit of trouble with a lasso, but when it also somehow delivers a stunning paralysis to anyone who is caught in its loop? Well, that makes it a big deal indeed. Nylini’s Lasso has a resemblance to a snake, as the mindset is that it delivers a venom or other sort of paralytic to those who’ve been snared.
In this follow-up image, you can see a bit more of the snake-like imagery. The knot of the snare has a definite snake-like face, and the end of the lasso almost looks like a rattle.
The lasso was deemed so valuable because it delivers a venom or paralytic that is clearly denoted by its snake-like appearance. In this next WIP, you can see that even more details have been added to the piece, and there are some green lights that seem to glow from within the bands of the lasso.
I thought that the green would really pop against a purple background, so we put it together with this in mind. Steven continues to show just how talented he is with these concept pieces.
