Greetings travelers! Welcome to our look at one of the treasures of Tellest!
Today, we’re looking at a relic that could induce madness or terror into the hearts of those who might be in its presence: the alabaster figurine. Though the figurine here does not appear to be anything special, its magic makes it incredibly potent.
We decided to do a statuette of a griffin, as it is just exotic enough to carry a bit of mystery to it. Steven, of course, did a remarkable job of making something lifeless feel alive and vibrant.
In the first follow-up, you can see additional details begin to take shape. This piece started off a bit more raw than some of Steve’s other artwork, so you get to see the vast changes a little better.
In this iteration, we can see even more details in Steven’s work-in-progress. There’s definitely an artistry in making something look crude enough without making it look unfinished, and Steven nails it here.
A few more details locks down our final look at our griffin statuette here. Steven once again shows that he’s a great find for Tellest, and yet, we’re barely even scratching the surface of what he’s able to accomplish.
Stay tuned as we continue to work together, and we’ll continue to show you some great collaborative work!
