{"id":630,"date":"2014-01-09T07:50:11","date_gmt":"2014-01-09T12:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tellest.com\/?p=630"},"modified":"2014-01-09T07:50:11","modified_gmt":"2014-01-09T12:50:11","slug":"the-tellest-2014-kickstarter-is-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tellest.com\/the-tellest-2014-kickstarter-is-live\/","title":{"rendered":"The Tellest 2014 Kickstarter is Live!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, longtime fans and newcomers!\u00a0 I am pleased to announce to you that our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/181624749\/tellest-an-expanding-fantasy-brand\" target=\"_blank\">Kickstarter<\/a> for 2014 is now live, and we are accepting pledges.<\/p>\n<p>We address it on the Kickstarter page and in the video, but I wanted to quickly note what we\u2019re doing this for, why, and what you get for pledging toward this ambitious project.<\/p>\n<p>Tellest is growing at a rapid pace, and to keep up with that tempo, we\u2019re asking fans of fantasy to support us in that growth.\u00a0 The flagship for 2014 is the release of the Tales of Tellest, a quintet of stories that goes into some established characters\u2019 backgrounds.\u00a0 Your pledges will help to provide high quality cover artwork for those stories, as well as cleaning up the original trilogy.\u00a0 We\u2019d also like to try to bring other writers under our banner, so throughout the year we\u2019ll be hosting writing contests with prizes, and forge new alliance with other fantasy storytellers.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve got plenty of cool rewards to pledge for, including copies of the books in eBook or paperback format, digital prints of the artwork, dedicated audiobook narrations and collaborations with me that will result in your very own Tellest character.\u00a0 Anyone who pledges even a dollar will also gain access to the weekly serialized fiction a week early, too.<\/p>\n<p>If we happen to do well, we\u2019ve got other ideas to spice things up.\u00a0 We don\u2019t want to get ahead of ourselves, though, so just keep your eyes peeled for plenty of updates over the next month.\u00a0 Just because the Kickstarter is live, that doesn\u2019t mean that we\u2019ll relax and wait to see how things turn out.\u00a0 We\u2019ve got plenty of work to do, and we\u2019d love to see you happy!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you so much for your patronage!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, longtime fans and newcomers!\u00a0 I am pleased to announce to you that our Kickstarter for 2014 is now live, and we are accepting pledges.
