I may not be the best writer, or one of the most popular storytellers, but I can tell you one thing with a mighty conviction: If it wasn\u2019t for Nace Phlaux, I wouldn\u2019t even be telling you any of this right now.<\/p>\n
Nace (not his given name \u2013 nobody is that cool coming out of a womb) and I happened to meet when we worked at the same company, upon one of the festering blisters near Satan\u2019s butthole.\u00a0 There were very few positive experiences that I could take from that part of my life.\u00a0 They were the dark years.\u00a0 Among them, however, was the friendship I began to cultivate with Mr. Phlaux.<\/p>\n
There are people who are not going to like my material, especially the first book, because it seems unwittingly juvenile.\u00a0 I will openly admit that.\u00a0 I still make some very freshman mistakes, but I\u2019m sure that as you see my progression as a writer, you can bear witness to the careful fermenting that has taken place.\u00a0 Now consider this: Nace was one of the very few lucky people who saw these books before they were edited into a coherent mass.\u00a0 Before, they were just the scribbles of a madman.\u00a0 He deciphered and cleaned them up, and now they sparkle, in their own way at least.<\/p>\n
Nace is the editor of the Tellest books.\u00a0 He polishes the would-be turd that I could willingly place before you, and he shines it up so nice that you think you\u2019re looking at a gem.\u00a0 He challenges me when my ideas are good, and he rips into me when my ideas are stupid.<\/p>\n
In recent months though, he\u2019s evolved to being something more for Tellest.\u00a0 He\u2019s worked on making the presentation all the more magical.\u00a0 He\u2019s made communication with the outside world more fun and added better ideas.\u00a0 Most surprisingly, he\u2019s added to the saga.\u00a0 His story, Becoming a Man<\/i> is ready to hit the virtual shelves any day now.\u00a0 The only thing we\u2019re waiting for is a cover and a little something extra for front matter.<\/p>\n
One thing is for sure.\u00a0 Tellest would be a much darker place if it wasn\u2019t for the light Nace shines on it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
