{"id":3124,"date":"2016-02-04T00:01:02","date_gmt":"2016-02-04T05:01:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tellest.com\/?p=3124"},"modified":"2016-01-30T06:44:26","modified_gmt":"2016-01-30T11:44:26","slug":"sprite-art-alicia-mane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tellest.com\/sprite-art-alicia-mane\/","title":{"rendered":"Sprite Art &#8211; Alicia Mane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been a few weeks since we saw a sprite update. \u00a0It&#8217;s about time we change that! \u00a0We&#8217;re still plugging along with this little project, but we&#8217;re not ready to reveal anything substantial yet. \u00a0Instead, let&#8217;s just show you my favorite sprite of the entire bunch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-2.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3125\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3125\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-2.png\" alt=\"Alicia 2\" width=\"85\" height=\"130\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ok, it&#8217;s not that one, but that&#8217;s the very first bit of skeleton work that Chris did for Alicia Mane. \u00a0She&#8217;s the first novel character to be presented in this project (though we did see Steel Tip in sprite form a while back).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-3.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3126\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3126\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-3.png\" alt=\"Alicia 3\" width=\"99\" height=\"137\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s more like it. \u00a0With a little bit of panache, Chris managed to put together a nice bit of motion for our fire-wielding noblewoman.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-4.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3127\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3127\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-4.png\" alt=\"Alicia 4\" width=\"97\" height=\"146\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And now she looks even more substantial.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-5.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3128\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3128\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-5.png\" alt=\"Alicia 5\" width=\"85\" height=\"123\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When we first got the color on the sprite, we noticed that there were some things that needed be changed. \u00a0First and foremost, her outfit looked decidedly modern.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-6.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3129\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3129\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-6.png\" alt=\"Alicia 6\" width=\"86\" height=\"123\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A little splash of white went a long way toward showing that she wasn&#8217;t wearing a tank top. \u00a0Chris also modified the palette a bit here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-7.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3130\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3130\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-7.png\" alt=\"Alicia 7\" width=\"86\" height=\"123\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here you have the final piece. \u00a0He added a bit more white to make it look like she had sleeves that extended out.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-7.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3130\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3130\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Alicia-7.png\" alt=\"Alicia 7\" width=\"220\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A close-up look should show you why she&#8217;s my favorite one of the sprites so far. \u00a0I really like what Chris did with her, and I&#8217;m excited to see what we can come up with going forward!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been a few weeks since we saw a sprite update. \u00a0It&#8217;s about time we change that! \u00a0We&#8217;re still plugging along with this little project, but we&#8217;re not ready to reveal anything substantial yet. \u00a0Instead, let&#8217;s just show you my favorite sprite of the entire bunch.
