{"id":1262,"date":"2014-07-17T00:01:22","date_gmt":"2014-07-17T04:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tellest.com\/?p=1262"},"modified":"2014-07-29T08:13:30","modified_gmt":"2014-07-29T12:13:30","slug":"art-valley-of-kathka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tellest.com\/art-valley-of-kathka\/","title":{"rendered":"Art: Valley of Kathka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>And hello again!<\/p>\n<p>Once again, we are back with some lush, beautiful art, this time courtesy of Dena Helmi. \u00a0We&#8217;re looking, now, at her interpretation of the Valley of Kathka.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<em>The Bindings of Fate<\/em>, the protagonist, Kaos, is sent to the Valley of Kathka to investigate the ruins there. \u00a0It has long been foretold that a castle once resided in the valley, the last\u00a0vestige of the goodly races stand against Semia&#8217;Laz and his unholy troops during the demon wars. \u00a0When he arrived there, it was mostly scattered stones and remnants of a time long past.<\/p>\n<p>Dena did a wonderful job capturing the awe of the place, even when its ancestry seemed diminished. \u00a0It still has this almost otherworldly presence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1263\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"Valley of Kathka\" width=\"450\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After a few touch ups following that initial sketch, she really brought the Valley of Kathka to life.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka-complete.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1264\" src=\"http:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka-complete-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"Valley of Kathka complete\" width=\"450\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka-complete-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tellest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Valley-of-Kathka-complete-1024x512.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And hello again!
