There have been some debates as to whether or not a shore blossom is an herb or not.\u00a0 Birds will typically pull them from the sand beside riverbanks as if they were pulling a blade of grass from the ground.\u00a0 However, they don\u2019t seem to grow like a typical plant.\u00a0 They look like glass beads that grow upon the riverbanks or the sand beside them.\u00a0 Some people also call them fisheyes.<\/p>\n

Because of the strength and consistency of the beads, shore blossoms are often broken down and used as jewelry polish.\u00a0 Some people make a living out of finding them specifically for this reason.<\/p>\n
