Already a trio of short stories under their belt, author W S Miles knows how to deliver sharp, well-paced tales in abbreviated form to great effect.  So it is with one of the three tales, the aptly named Tale Bearer & The Silver Horse (Tale Bearer Series).  Filled with snappy dialog, imaginative events, and a hint at a greater world that could be explored.  Miles manages to create a story here that manages to transcend subgenres in interesting new ways, and it bustles with energy and activity throughout.

When a mysterious object crashes into the neighboring field, a young man sets off on the adventure of a lifetime.

Along the way, he encounters the mysterious Inventor’s Guild that will stop at nothing to get their hands on what he has.

This short story is one of the best yet of W S Miles’s wonderful tales, and it shows the promise of the talented author in better ways than ever.  If they can tell stories like this with a restricted and refined word count, imagine what they could do with a feature-length fantasy.  While we wait for more stories from the author, why not acclimate to the strong prose and interesting stories.  Check out Tale Bearer & The Silver Horse (Tale Bearer Series) on Amazon today!
