C.J. Canady excels at writing characters that you will absolutely adore.  He also builds them into a universe that feels rich and lively.  Most importantly, his writing feels like it’s built out of the utmost passion and devotion.  Omega Starlite is an incredibly charming book (and character), and you’ll grow to love the cast.  There are laugh out moments and some emotional ones, and through it all, you’ll be glad to be along for the ride.

Whether you like Star Wars or Star Trek or any other sci-fi mainstay, you’re sure to find something you like within Connor’s Gambit.  Gottlieb juggles a lot of pieces of the book to deliver something that feels like a perfectly realized tapestry.  It’s funny, it’s smart and it’s well-realized.  Most importantly, though, it’s believable.  You’d be forgiven if you thought there was some way that Gottlieb saw into the future, because Connor’s Gambit never strays too far from reality.  It’s science fiction, sure, but it feels genuine.  It’s also the start of something that you can feel is going to be big.  Gottlieb is clearly a fan of the genre, and it shows in the writing.

Brad Johnson, a lone witness to a UFO sighting becomes an alien target and quickly finds himself on an off world adventure, relying on his skills to survive an intergalactic war. As Brad struggles to understand the conflict between the aliens, as well as his place in the universe, he learns one group threatens Earth’s security and the other wants something entirely different. All Brad wants is to return home to his family, but not until he embarks on the greatest adventure of his life.

Gottlieb provided me with an animated version of the book cover.  I couldn’t not use it!  But it also speaks very much to Gottlieb and the way she does everything.  The dial is always pushed up to eleven.  Connor’s Gambit is a wonderful space opera that you won’t be able to get enough of.  It’s fun, it’s a page-turner like you’ve never seen, and it’s massive.  Gottlieb creates a universe that you can’t wait to explore, and frames it in a way that is unbelievably entertaining.  There are over 100 reviews on Amazon, and the majority of them are overwhelmingly positive.  Join the crowd, and read this fantastic science-fiction novel.  Check out Connor’s Gambit on Amazon today!
